He Knows How Insurance Companies
Think. Because He Was One.

Michael Haddock spent over 20 years inside major insurance carriers. He served as a Claim Manager, Branch Claim Manager, and held senior roles in claim litigation management, handling serious losses and high-exposure litigation both before and after becoming an attorney. He managed adjusters. He set reserve valuations. He presented settlement proposals to presidents and CEOs. He knows exactly how insurance company adjusters evaluate your case, and what it takes to change their calculation. That insider knowledge works to the benefit of his clients.

Services

Injury and Insurance Representation

Handled personally. In these courts. By the attorney who knows how the other side thinks.

Auto Accidents and No-Fault Claims

Michigan no-fault law is among the most complex in the country. Medical expense coverage, wage loss, replacement services, and pain and suffering claims require careful handling from the start.

Premises Liability

Slip and fall, inadequate maintenance, and property owner negligence claims across West Michigan. Vacation rental property incidents included.

Insurance Coverage Disputes

When your own insurance company denies or undervalues your claim, you need someone who knows how coverage decisions are made internally. Michael does.

Dog Bite Injuries

Michigan has strict liability for dog bite injuries. Property owners and dog owners are held responsible regardless of prior knowledge of aggression.

Construction Defect Litigation

Contractor negligence, defective workmanship, and coverage disputes between property owners, contractors, and insurers.

Federal Civil Litigation

Cases requiring federal court jurisdiction handled in the Western District of Michigan.

What to Do After an Accident

The First Steps Matter More Than Most People Realize

1. Get Medical Attention

Seek treatment the same day, even if you believe your injuries are minor. Gap in treatment is the first thing adjusters look for when minimizing a claim.

2. Do Not Give a Recorded Statement

The other driver’s insurance company will call quickly and ask for a recorded statement. Do not give one without first speaking with an attorney. Anything you say can and will be used to minimize your claim.

3. Call Before You Accept Any Offer

Insurance companies move quickly to settle before you know what your claim is worth. Once you sign a release, the claim is closed permanently. A free consultation costs nothing. A bad settlement is irreversible.

Talk to Attorney Haddock
